Holy Trinity Church marked Pentecost Sunday
June 12th - with a Street Party in the street outside the CMI in Church Road, with food, music and entertainment. This is the 5th year that Holy Trinity Church has offered its Street Party as a FREE gift to the community of Sunningdale, to celebrate all that is good about living in the village, to have fun being together with family, friends and neighbours for the afternoon and to enjoy good food and entertainment as a sign of God's blessing.

As well as hog roasts, veggie burgers, salads and puddings, there were bouncy castles, face painting, street games, a family treasure hunt. Only the pavement art competition fell victim to the weather.  Hundreds of people were fed and entertained: There was a varied programme of musical entertainment on the main stage in the street and also inside church. The "15 Minutes of Fame" programme  included piano, song, saxophone, Youth Band, Big Green Spoon, solo, duet and children's choir - all participants are members of Holy Trinity Church. The church building  featured flower displays celebrating Pentecost and Pentecost banners produced by the children from Holy Trinity School.

An added attraction was the Rendezvous Renoirs' Art Exhibition (Teacher, Aurora Spain, pictured here with her painting- 'New Beginnings').

The Revd David Uffindell, Vicar of Holy Trinity Church said "Everyone has had a great time, despite the rain.". He added the hope that people would continue finding out what else is going on that may be of interest to them. There are activities for all age groups and we run courses of different kinds to help us "do life" well: The 6 Course - thinking about some of life's big questions over a glass of wine; Parenting - for those times when we feel like "helpless spectators" and The Marriage Course - for those who would like a chance to do an MOT on their relationship."
