Luke was born in Guernsey, the son of a vicar! He has two brothers and a sister, both brothers also being vicars!

Before becoming a vicar, Luke was part of the Parachute Regiment, where he served for 7.5 years, the last 3 years being with the Red Devils Freefall Parachute Display Team. After the Army, he studied Sports Science, and once he had completed his degree went to study theology at Oak Hill Theological College.

Luke is married to Gis and they have three children. He served for 4 years in Hanworth, West London, then started a church plant from scratch on the Ivybridge Estate in Hounslow, next door to Twickenham Rugby Ground. Luke was there for 6 years until moving to Dedworth for a short time, before arriving at Sunningdale in the summer of 2011.
