Prayer for the winter ...

Heavenly Father,
We thank you that even in the depths of winter
when all is dark and cold
the warmth and light of your love
remind us of your faithfulness.
Keep us close to you
as we look forward to the coming of spring
and the promise of new life.
For Jesus Christ's sake.
Amen.
